This fascinating late Classical palace located in Vilnius Old Town, near the Vilnius university, has been visited by Napoleon as well as the Russian Tsar Alexander. From the 14th century it was the residence of the bishops of  Vilnius and in the 18th century it was the home of the General Governors. First guested palace too. Palace has a beautiful inside yard and vine cellar. There building from the 14th century was reconstructed in the beginning of the 19th century to its present appearance.

The President of Lithuania. lives and works here and meet the delegations from foreign countries. Close to the palace there are two squares: Daukanto Square and Inner Square (behind white walls).
